Short Story: The Monkey in the Outhouse with the Grenade

I sent off my short story, The Monkey in the Outhouse with a Grenade, to the Al Blanchard Contest yesterday. This was one of those stories that had been percolating on one of the brain’s side burners for a while until I got to the point that I was able to write it quickly. Winner to be announced at the New England Crime Bake in November. The competition will be fierce, and there’s only one winner, but I think the story is good. So, you never know. Fingers crossed.
