Sci Fi and Mystery Conventions

It’s convention season! For me, this started last weekend with Archon 49, St. Louis’s premier science fiction convention. I went with my brother, my eldest daughter, and her good friend. Always great fun! The convention featured an assortment of excellent writers—Angie Fox, Richard White, Shawntelle Madison, Donna J. W. Munro, Elizabeth Donald, Ray Tabler, and others (I know I’m forgetting some great ones). Fran Wilde was the guest of honor and the great Larry Niven was the special guest—both were past Nebula and Hugo award winners. I look forward to Archon all year. Although several usual suspects were missing, I had a great time.

Two more conventions to go: Bouchercon in October and the New England Crime Bake in November. Both are mystery conventions. Should be great fun!
